Many patients call us when the fertility calendar suddenly becomes real: stimulation appointments, IUI day, egg retrieval, transfer day, the two-week wait. Acupuncture is often used as supportive care during this period because it gives the body and the mind a consistent, calm appointment at a time that can feel very scheduled and medical.
When patients usually start
For IVF or IUI support, many people begin several weeks before a planned cycle. Others start after the cycle is already underway. We do not make the process complicated. We review where you are in your fertility treatment plan and schedule acupuncture around the dates that matter.
Common timing questions
Patients often ask whether they should come before transfer, after transfer, during stimulation, or during the two-week wait. The answer depends on your reproductive endocrinologist's plan, your cycle history, stress level, travel time, and comfort. Our approach is to coordinate supportive care without adding pressure.
What to bring
Bring your cycle dates, current medications or supplements, recent fertility lab results if you have them, and the name of your fertility clinic. You do not need to bring a complete medical file to the first visit, but the more accurate the calendar is, the easier it is to plan.
For fastest scheduling, call or text the office and mention your retrieval, transfer, or IUI date.
